Rodney Grant Holton
December 25, 1983 – September 23, 2013
Rodney Grant Holton was born
to Brookie and Jackie Holton at
St. Mary's Hospital in Grand
Junction, Colorado, on December
25, 1983 (he was a Christmas
baby). Grant spent his childhood
years growing up in Grand Junction.
After graduating from Fruita
Monument High School in 2002,
he made welding his career, traveling
all around the United States, including: Colorado, Utah, Nebraska,
Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Montana, Wyoming, and North
Dakota.
Grant left us to join his father, Brookie, on September 23, 2013. He
passed away in Watford City, ND, where he had been working. He
is survived by his mother, Jackie Holton; two brothers, Gregory
Joshua (Julie) Holton, and Brian Nicholas (Jenny) Holton, and t wo
nephews, Travis, eleven-years-old and Brandon, eight-years-old.
Grant enjoyed the outdoors; he loved boating, snowmobiling,
camping, and hunting. He loved the company of friends, family, and
co-workers. Everyone who knew him loved him. A young life lost
too soon. He will be greatly missed by so many.
Services will be held at the Monument Chapel of Grand Junctio n
Funeral Home, 1022 Grand Avenue, Grand Junction, CO. Visitation
will be from 1-3:00 and the service will begin afterwards at 3: 00
p.m.; reception to follow. Direction will be given at the service.
In lieu of flowers, it would be Grant's wish for you to "Pay it Forward".
Services are entrusted to the care of Grand Junction Funeral Home.
