Helen Bartman, 91, Fruita, died Feb. 1, 2014, at Family Health West.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Bartman was a cook for Mesa County School District 51.
She is survived by one son, John Bartman III of Grand Junction;
one daughter, Connie Overbye of Fruita; one sister, Dorothy Spoonmore
of Libby, Mont.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Helen Bartman February 22, 1922 - February 1, 2014
Helen Bartman, 91, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2014, at Family Health West Main Street.
Helen was a cashier at the Mesa Drug in Fruita, retiring from
School District 51 as a cook at Shelledy Elementary.
She had many talents and enjoyed crocheting, baking, and working in her yard.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Connie (Larry) Overbye, and son, John (Aronda) Bartman;
four grandchildren, Todd (Nia) Overbye, Lori Overbye, Casey Bartman and Kileigh (Eric) Sperber
as well as four great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Makenna Overbye and Xandric and Khapreeya
Sperber.
She is preceded in death by her husband John, five sisters, and one brother.
Graveside services will be held at Memorial Gardens Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Family Health West Main Street.
