Jesse M. Jordan, 83, Grand Junction, died Nov. 24, 2013, at
HopeWest & Hospice. Services will take place at 10 a.m.
Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, followed by burial at
Grand Junction Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Survivors include daughters Shonna Clifford of Phoenix and
Kendra Tavarone of Whitewater, and one grandchild.

Jesse Jordan passed away
peacefully on November 23,
2013.
He was born to T A Jordan and
Hazel (Taylor) Moon in Ouray,
CO on November 14, 1930. Jesse
spent his childhood in Ouray and
Montrose and joined the Navy in
1948. He married Glennys Sharp
on May 27, 1951, in Montrose,
CO. The couple moved to Grand Junction in 1953, and Jesse was
employed by the Denver and Rio Grand Western Railroad as a
fireman, brakeman and conductor.
Jesse was raised a Master Mason in the Mesa Masonic Lodge #55 in
1965. He then was initiated and conferred into 32 Degree Masonry
in 1966, in Grand Junction Consistory. He was also a member of the
Western Colorado Shrine Club. He enjoyed his Masonic affiliations
and recently received his 45 year pin. He was a founding member
of the Western Colorado Chapter of VMCCA. He lovingly restored
his 1928 Lincoln limousine which began a lifelong passion for the
antique car hobby. He especially loved touring the country and the
many friendships he made along the way.
Jesse is survived by daughters, Shonna (Robert) Clifford of
Phoenix, AZ, and Kendra (Joe) Tavarone of Whitewater, CO;
grandson, Corey Clifford of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Betty McElroy of
Yoakum, TX; step-sister, June Rush of Grand Junction, and stepbrother,
Orrin Moon of Silt, CO. He felt blessed to have the love of
two women in his life; Marian Mohney of Grand Junction and his
wife, Glennys. He was preceeded in death by his wife, parents, and
brother, Gene Jordan.
Memorial services will be held at Callahan-Edfast on Monday
December 2 at 10:00 a.m. Naval Military Honors will follow at
Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Jesse and his family would be
honored if you choose to drive an antique car.
