Thomas Dee Covington

Thomas Dee Covington was born
on June 14, 1942, in Abilene, Texas,
to parents, Ollie D. Covington
and Mildred Faye Reiman-Covington.
He passed from this life on
February 14, 2014, at the Veteran’s
Medical Center of Grand Junction.
He loved to travel and to read, he
had a quick-wit and great sense of
humor, and he was always “one step ahead of the law”…
He worked many jobs over the course of his life, he served three-years
in the United States Air Force, worked several years in the oil-fields,
and eventually retired from the United States Postal Service.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ginny Westlake
and Barbara Faber, and his brother, Jerry Walston.
He is survived by his sister, Carol Blom; nephews, Tracy Freetly of
Salem, Oregon, and BJ and Marty Walston of Vernal, Utah; nieces, Ann
Faber of Beaverton, Oregon; Amy Bender of Omaha, Nebraska, and
Connie Lundy of Fontanelle, Iowa, as well as his good friend, Carol
Franklin of Grand Junction, Colorado.
At his request, no public services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Veteran’s
Medical Center of Grand Junction, Colorado. Services were entrusted
to Palisade Funeral Home.
