Wayne J. Egbert, 92, Grand Junction, died Feb. 23, 2014, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Grand Junction.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Floy; two daughters, Marilyn Henthorn of Boulder and Linda Friedman of Denver; one stepson Ron Andrew of Grand Junction; and one stepdaughter Judy Molna rof San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Aidabelle of Grand Junction; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

N. 20th St., died at the Veterans
Affairs Hospice Community Living
Center. He was 92.
A graveside service will be at
10:00 a.m., February 27, 2014, at
Memorial Gardens, 2970 North
Ave. with the Paster Joseph Gross
officiating. If there is inclement
weather, services will be held inside
the Memorial Gardens mausoleum. A reception will follow at
Redlands Community Church, 2327 Broadway at 11:30 a.m.
Mr. Egbert was born in Keokuk, Iowa to William and Dessie Egbert.
He spent his childhood and attended school in Boyero, CO moving to the Grand Valley at age 14. He served in the US Navy as a Pharmacist’s Mate First Class from January 20, 1942 to November 18, 1945. He was employed at the VA Hospital for 26 years.
He was a member of the Elks Club for 49 years. He enjoyed waterskiing,
gardening and daily walks with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Floy E. Egbert; two daughters, Marilyn Henthorn of Boulder and Linda Friedman of Denver; two step-children, Ron Andrew of Grand Junction and Judy Molnar of San Diego; one sister, Aidabelle Brown of Grand Junction and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Egbert and his sister, Helen McGaw.
