Harold Eugene Thompson, 86, Grand Junction, died March
27, 2014, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Veterans Cemetery of
Western Colorado.
Mr. Thompson was an automotive salesman for 20 years.
Survivors include his three sons, Randy, Brad and Christopher.

Harold Eugene Thompson passed
away March 27, 2014 at the VA
Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.
He was 86.
He was born to Martin and Leva
Thompson, on December 27,
1927, in Willow Lake, South Dakota.
He was the fifth child of seven.
Harold graduated from Willow Lake High School and joined the
US Marine Corp, serving his country with great pride. After his honorable discharge from the Marines, he attended Huron College.
He married Patricia A. Cluett in Bryant, South Dakota. They had eight children.
Harold taught school for two years in rural South Dakota. He excelled in sales. He retired to Grand Junction, Colorado.
Harold enjoyed pheasant hunting in the fields of South Dakota and big game hunting in western Colorado. He was a member of various charitable organizations.
He is survived by Patricia Thompson of Grand Junction, and four sons: Chris Thompson of Bull Frog, Utah; Brad and Randy (Liese) Thompson of Grand Junction; and Tom (Wendy) Thompson of Keizer, Oregon. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Bryce, Megan, Rachael, Rebekah, and Joshua; one sister, Vonnie (Dean) Rinerson of Watertown, South Dakota and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bernadette, and three veteran sons: Lonny, Barry, and Mark. Also preceding him were his sisters: Amy Thompson, Leona Melham, Lois Balogh, Dona Schrader and a brother, Roy Thompson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
Services will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado on Wednesday, April, 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
