Brookie Holton, 73, Grand Junction, died Sept. 9, 2013.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Martin Mortuary.
Ms. Holton was an iron worker and a construction supervisor.
Survivors include three sons, Gregory Joshua and Brian Nicholas,
both of Fruita, and Rodney Grant of Grand Junction; one sister,
Opal Lamonds of Blacksheer, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

Brookie Holton
February 19, 1940 – September 9, 2013
Brookie Holton passed away
September 9, 2013, after a six
year battle with a severe illness.
He was 73.
Brookie was born on February
19, 1940, in Baxley, Georgia from
the union of Gideon and Clemon
Holton. He graduated from Appling
County High School in
Baxley. He was previously mar -
ried to Jackie Holton and they later divorced.
Brookie was an iron worker and later a construction superinte ndent/
inspector. He lived in the Grand Junction, Colorado area off
and on for 32 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Southern
cooking.
Brookie leaves behind three sons, Gregory Joshua (Julie) Holt on
and Brian Nicholas (Jenny) Holton both of Fruita, CO, and Rodne y
Grant Holton (TBD?) of Grand Junction, CO; a sister, Opal Lamonds
of Blacksheer, GA, and grandchildren, Travis and Brandon.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September
14, 2013, at Martin Mortuary.
