Evelyn Joy Price was born on December 21, 1937, to Frank and Angelina (Audino) Simonetti. She passed away on October 24, 2013, at HopeWest Hospice after a lengthy illness. She was 75. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Ernest, Frank Jr. and Albert.
She grew up in Grand Junction and graduated from Grand Junction High School. Evelyn married Dan Price in 1974. She worked at Home Appliance Service for many years and in 1999, she and Dan opened Boxcar Antiques and Collectibles. She enjoyed bowling, antiquing, and her treasured large collection of salt and pepper shakers.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; son, Gerald (Jacque) Smith of Spanaway, WA; daughter, Christina (Laurie) Sigwart of Portland, OR; grandsons, Jon (Kara) Smith of Valdosta, Georgia; Kevin (Keri) Smith of Lakewood, CA; granddaughters, Alisha (Joe) Monteleone of Spanaway, WA; Brooke Henderson of Denver, CO; great-grandsons, Jason Henderson, and Logan and Matthew Smith; sister, Mary Louise Salatino, and her furry friends, Bob and Foster.
Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday November 1, 2013, at Calvary Cemetery on Orchard Mesa.
