Raymond Jordan Garcia, Jr., 50, Grand Junction, died April
28, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Services are pending with Mesa Funeral Service.
Survivors include his wife, Carla; one son, Christobal of Grand
Junction; two daughters, Katherine Henson of Grand Junction and
Analisa of Fruita; his mother, Elizabeth of El Prado, N.M.; brother
Timothy James of Portland, Ore.; sisters Cynthia Joan Aguilar
of Thornton and Kimberly Jean Rodriguez of El Prado; and two
grandchildren.

Raymond Jordan Garcia “Pappy”
of Grand Junction, CO went to his
Heavenly home on his 50th birthday,
April 28, 2014.
Raymond was born in Monte
Vista, Colorado on April 28, 1964,
to Raymond and Elizabeth (Montoya)
Garcia. He graduated from
Center High School in 1982. On
May 18, 1985, he married his forever love, Carla (McClure) Garcia.
They raised three beautiful children together. Raymond was employed
with the Grand Junction Regional Center for almost 25 years.
He was an amazing husband, father, and Pappy. His love of the Lord
and his family were always his first priorities. He enjoyed all kinds of
activities in the CO outdoors. He especially enjoyed going on motorcycle
rides with Carla riding along with him. He made friends wherever
he went and his friends became like family. His generosity blessed
many and he extended love to even strangers, who then became his
friends. His love and generosity continued even after his end of life
here on Earth as he was able to “Give the Gift of Life” through organ
donation, something that he strongly supported and advocated for.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Carla Garcia; his son, Chris Garcia;
his daughters, Katherine (Jason) Henson and Analisa (Bryce Smith)
Garcia; his mother, Elizabeth Garcia; his brother, Tim Garcia; his sisters,
Cynthia (Sam) Aguilar and Kimberly Garcia; his grandchildren,
Cambria and Korbin Henson and several nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his father, Raymond Garcia and his grandparents.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place at Jubilee Family
Church, located at 483 30 Road on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
Pastor David Crowley from the Gathering Church will be officiating.
There will be a time of fellowship and remembrance for all to attend
immediately following the service. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to Mesa Funeral Service.
