Era Elizabeth Hancock, 90, of Olathe, died Oct. 24, 2013, at her
home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Olathe United
Methodist Church, 512 South Hersum Ave., in Olathe. A funeral
service will be 1 p.m. at the church with a graveside service following
at Olathe Cemetery.
Ms. Hancock was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Stanley D. Rice of North Bend,
Wash., and William B. Rice of Montrose; two brothers, Lloyd Dean
and Farris Dean; five sisters, Jewel Carter of Colorado, Margie
Albers and Juanita Fell, both of Kansas, Letavi Best of Iowa, and
Edith Ashworthy of Kentucky; five grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.
