Terri was born in Alamosa, Colorado,
but lived in Red River, New
Mexico. At the age of twelve, her
family moved to Boulder City, Nevada,
where she lived until they
moved to Mesa, Colorado, when
she was eighteen. She then went
to Purcellville, Virginia, to attend
Patrick Henry College, for one
year. She worked for the Home School Legal Defense Association, for
another year, in Purcellville; making many lasting friendships, before
moving back to Mesa, with her family. Little did she know, she would
soon meet her future husband, Rory White, the love of her life. They
married in August of 2004, and settled in Collbran, Colorado, to start
the family she had always dreamed of.
And start a family they did. Over the next ten years they were blessed
with seven beautiful children. She loved Rory, and each of her “little
blessings,” as she called them, with everything in her. She stayed
home, taking care of each of them, and teaching them the things that
she found most important. Her love for the Lord, and her hope in Him,
were apparent in everything she did. It showed in her home-schooling,
her “surprise” parties for Rory, which the kids loved decorating all
day for, and her tireless efforts to instil Godly principles into everyday
chores.
Her love for life is evident in each of her children, and the faith she
taught them about will be her lasting legacy. She cared deeply for each
and every person God put in her life, and will be truly missed by more
people then she would have ever believed.
She is survived by her husband, Rory White of Collbran; daughters,
Alyssa (8), and Lanae (7); sons, Hunter (6), Riley (4), Caleb (2), Zeb
(1), and Rory John (2 weeks); her mother, Mary Jo Silzell; sisters,
Becky Hittle, Naomi DeLorenzo, Abby, and Esther, and her brothers,
Matt, Jed, and Joe.
A graveside service will be held beginning 11:00 a.m., on Saturday,
May 3rd, 2014, in Clover Cemetery at the peninsula above Collbran.
Immediately following, there will be a celebration of Terri’s life, at
Mary Jo Silzell’s house, 9734 Hwy. 65 in Mesa, Colorado, with food
and refreshments. Please come join us as we celebrate her life and her
beautiful family.
