Laura attended Steamboat Springs High School and Stephens College in Missouri. She completed an Associate of Arts in Fashion Design which she practiced all her life.

In 1948, Laura married William (Bo) Graham of Steamboat at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and settled in Denver in the 60’s where they raised their four children, Debra Ann (James) Peebles, Susan Elizabeth Raterman, Mary Pat (Kevin) Graham-Kelly and William Jr. Laura and Bo were married for 58 years.

Eldest sister, Alice Peavy Blasingame, resides in Ramah Colorado, and youngest sister Jo Anne Semotan lives on the family ranch in Steamboat Springs.
