Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedaredge Methodist

Eckert, Colorado resident, JoAnn Grosshans, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014, at her home in Eckert, Colorado. She was 80 years of age.
A Celebration of Life service honoring JoAnn’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Cedaredge Methodist Church in Cedaredge, Colorado. Interment will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Yampa City Cemetery in Yampa, Colorado
JoAnn Ray was born on July 16, 1934 to Charles Ray and Josephine (Shrupp) Ray in McCoy, Colorado. She spent her childhood and attended school in McCoy, Colorado. She attended Business College in Denver, Colorado.
JoAnn married Gerald Wayne Grosshans on June 26, 1986 in Westminster, Colorado. She has been a resident of Eckert, Colorado since 1993 moving from Brighton, Colorado. JoAnn was a school secretary for Jefferson County Schools.
JoAnn was a member of Cedaredge United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women (UMW). JoAnn enjoyed fishing, painting, reading, traveling, but most of all she loved and cherished spending time with her family.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Gerald Grosshans of Eckert, Colorado; three sons, Steven Grimes (Sam) of Steamboat Springs, CO., Kevin Grimes (Cissy) of Brighton, CO., Gerry Paul Grosshans (Ruth) of Lochbuie, CO; four daughters, Amy Padgett (Dave) of Centenial, CO., Laurie Lee Ganoe (Dave) of Broomfield, CO., Kathy Grosshans of Denver, CO., Deann Epperson of Canon City, CO; three brothers, Ed Ray of Boise ID., Duane Ray of Las Vegas, NV., Carl Ray of Yampa, CO; one sister, Ruby Jorstad of Denver, CO., twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents.
