Shirley Marie Weigert died December
25, 2013. She was 74 years
old.
Survived by her husband of 58
years, Jerry J Wiegert, and five
children, Chris Gatz, Ormond,
Florida; Colleen Roberts, Gilbert,
Arizona; Gail Wiegert, Prescott,
Arizona; Jerry E. Wiegert, Mesa,
Arizona, and Coby Wiegert, Durango, CO; one brother, Keith Butler,
Mesa Arizona; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirley was born in Delta, CO. She and Jerry moved to Arizona in
1958, then retired to Durango, CO in 1980. While in Durango Shirley
opened and operated Willow Tree Kennels in the mid-80’s and also
ran dog obedience training classes. Shirley and Jerry moved to Grand
Junction, CO in 2001.
Christmas morning, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction,
CO, Shirley peacefully passed away.
Services will be held on May 10th, 1:00 pm, at Eckert Presbyterian
Church, 13025 Colorado 65, Eckert, CO. A private family burial at
Eckert Cemetery will follow the service.

Shirley Marie Wiegert, 74, Grand Junction, died Dec. 25, 2013,
at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Services are planned at a later date.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry J.; two sons, Jerry E. of
Mesa, Ariz., and Coby of Durango; three daughters, Christine Gatz
of Ormond Beach, Fla.; Colleen Roberts of Gilbert, Ariz., and Gail
Marie Wiegert of Prescott, Ariz.; one brother, Keith Butler of Mesa,
Ariz.; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
