Alice L. Smith, 83, Grand Junction, died Nov. 30, 2013, at Hope
West and Hospice Care Center.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Grand View Cemetery in
Montrose.
Survivors include one son, Darryl A. of Loma; two daughters,
Debra L. Fitzgerald and Linda M. Rogers, both of Grand Junction;
one brother, Dale Hampton of Mack; one sister, Patricia Niess of
Grand Junction; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Alice L. Smith passed away
at the Hospice Care Center on
Saturday, November 30, 2013.
She was 83 years old.
Alice was born to T.A. and
Alma Hampton on September
15, 1930, at Montrose, CO. She
spent her childhood in Montrose,
and eventually came to marry
Audie Smith in 1955. Together
they moved to Grand Junction, Colorado and raised a family. Alice
loved gardening, canning, walking, and dancing. However, nothing
could ever compare to the absolute love she had for her husband
and family. She was a loving wife and mother, and always put the
needs of her family before her own. She will be deeply missed by
many.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Audie. She
is survived by her son, Darryl A. (Tracy) Smith of Loma, Colorado;
her daughters, Debra Fitzgerald and Linda (Kelly) Rogers of
Grand Junction, Colorado; her brother, Dale Hampton of Mack,
Colorado; her sister, Patricia Niess of Grand Junction, Colorado;
five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013, at
Grand View Cemetery in Montrose, at 3:00 p.m.
