N. Keith Coombe, 85, Grand Junction, died April 12, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital & Medical Center. Services will be 1 p.m. April 26 at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary Chapel.
Mr. Coombe was a manager with Xcel Energy.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son, David of Mack; one
daughter, Kristy L. Mamigonian of Littleton; one brother, Walter H. of Aurora; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

May 29, 1928 - April 12, 2014
N. Keith Coombe, age 85, passed away April 12, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital, comforted by his family. Keith was born May 29, 1928, in Ft. Collins, Colorado to Norman and Joyce Coombe. He graduated from Montrose High School in 1946, and then went on to serve in WWII from 1946 to 1948, as a military policeman, guarding Japanese prisoners located at Sugamo Prison. Upon returning home he married Betty King.
They moved to Ft. Collins where Keith pursued his education in Agriculture and graduated from CSU. Keith later pursued his career with
Public Service Company of Colorado. He was involved in numerous clubs and organizations where he served on many boards. Keith retired after 38 years with PSCo.
He and Betty then moved to Grand Junction. Keith enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and spending time on the Grand Mesa.
Keith is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty, and his children, David (Janet) Coombe of Mack, CO, and Kristy (Marty) Mamigonian of Littleton, CO; five grandsons, Travis Coombe, Brandon Coombe, Zach Mamigonian, Gabe Mamigonian, and Nick Mamigonian, and two great-granddaughters, Maylyn Coombe, and Adeline Coombe.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
