Born in Philadelphia, MO to Irvin and Audra Coleman, Chuck
was the youngest of five children. He spent his childhood years and
attended school in Grand Junction. At the age of 17, he enlisted in
the Navy and spent the duration of WWII in the Philippine Islands
as part of the Sea Bees.
He returned to Grand Junction after the war and married the
love of his life, Margaret “Jimmi” Coleman. They wed at the First
Babtist Church in Grand Junction on October 19, 1947. Together
they purchased land in Grand Junction and built their home from
the ground up, where they lived happily together for 60 years.
Dad enjoyed fishing, wood working and fixing things around his
home and for his family. Chuck worked for Mountain Bell Phone
Company for 32 years as an assignment processer before retiring
in 1985.
He was a loving and caring husband and father whom we will
greatly miss.
He is survived by his son, Louis and daughter, Connie both of
Grand Junction. He was the loving grandfather of Isaac (Erin) of
Denver, CO; Tyrone of Grand Junction, and Kyler of Overland
Park, KS, and three great-grandchildren, Violet, Thayer, and Orrin
of Grand Junction.

celebrate his life.
