James “Jim” David Maranville
February 28, 1963 - March 18, 2014
James “Jim” David Maranville was born February 28, 1963, in La
Mirada, CA and moved to Colorado in 1966. He passed away peacefully
in his sleep at home March 18, 2014. Jim enjoyed spending time with his
family and friends, fishing and sports. He was a true JUCO fan, and
attended every year for 20 years. He collected a t-shirt for every year.
He also went to Mesa College basketball games and sat in the same
seat every year with his name on the seat. He had a passion for old
cars, muscle cars, car shows and drag racing. Jim worked with his brother
as a sandblaster and provided lawn service, snow removal and maintenance
for many neighbors and anyone who needed help. Jim was a man of few
words, but he has a gentle soul. He met and became friends with so many
people and touched so many lives. Jim will me missed so much by his
family, friends, neighbors, and his best friend, Doug Patrick. Preceding
Jim is his sister, Mary Ann Maranville. He is survived by his mother,
Dorothy (Maranville) Hessler; brother, Mike (Sandy) Maranville; sisters,
Barbara Boden, and Penny Zotto; brother-in-law, Ron Zotto, and Dave
Smith and many nieces and nephews. We miss and love you Jim.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
