Mr. Dove was a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; one son, Orlan of Parachute;
one daughter, Jonalee Merritt of Tooele, Utah; one brother, Donald
of Grand Junction; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Orlan Lee Dove, 79, died at
his home in Grand Junction,
Colorado on December 8, 2013.
Orlan was born on September
8, 1934, in Hotchkiss, Colorado
to Elmer Dove and Margaret
(Pacheco) Dove. He lived in
Grand Junction, Colorado and
worked as a Carpentry Instructor
for Job Corps in Collbran,
Colorado until retiring in 1995. Orlan was a member of the
Carpenters Union and served as a Deacon at the Bethel Orthodox
Presbyterian Church. In retirement, he enjoyed golfing, travelling
with his wife, and spending time with his family.
Orlan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joan B. Dove of Grand
Junction, Colorado; son and daughter-in-law, Orlan L. and Robin
Dove of Parachute, Colorado; daughter, Jonalee Merritt of Tooele,
Utah; grandchildren, Michael and Mary Merritt of Tooele, Utah;
Erin Trinchitella of Tooele, Utah; Brian and Amber Clark of New
Braunfels, Texas; Josh and Megan Dove of Fruita, Colorado;
Douglas Hansen of Parachute, Colorado; Ashley Dove of Fruita,
Colorado; Orlan Tyler Dove of Parachute, Colorado, and six greatgrandchildren.
He is also survived by his aunt, Hazel Branom;
brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Bernita Dove, and his
brother-in-law, Burl Dailey, all of Grand Junction, Colorado. He
was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Audrey Dailey of
Grand Junction, Colorado, and his son-in-law, Michael Merritt of
Tooele, Utah.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 13, at 11:00
a.m. at Martin Mortuary, 550 North Ave, Grand Junction, Colorado.
Burial will be at Memorial Gardens immediately following the
service.
Orlan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who
touched many lives. He will be greatly missed.
