Kenneth A. Boettcher, 54, Whitewater, died June 29, 2014, at
Family Health West in Fruita.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Elmwood
Cemetery in Fruita.
Mr. Boettcher was a traffic control specialist and security consultant.
He is survived by his parents, Allen and Shirley of Whitewater;
and two sisters, Faith Dupre of Palisade and Cynthia Boettcher-
Hale of Grand Junction.

Kenneth Boettcher started his
journey to be with his Heavenly
Father on June 29, 2014, at Family
Health West after 15 months
of illness, including losing his eye
sight.
Born on February 9, 1960, in
Phoenix, AZ, he moved to San
Jose, CA in 1968, where he spent
his childhood. In 1983, he moved
to Grand Junction, CO to remain close to his parents. While growing
up, Ken enjoyed rock hunting with his dad, grandma, and uncle,
and learned lapidary. While in Colorado, he enjoyed the outdoor life
whether it was working as a Traffic Control Specialist and Security
in the oil fields or spending his free time fishing and hunting with his
father.
After losing his eyesight, Ken became involved with the National
Federation of the Blind of CO – Grand Valley Chapter where he was
Vice President. Ken was also a member of the 11th Ward of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Ken will be greatly missed by his parents, Allen and Shirley Boettcher
of Whitewater, CO; sisters, Faith Dupre of Palisade; Cynthia Boettcher-
Hale (JC) of Grand Junction; his nephews, Joseph Dupre of Grand
Junction, and Kenneth Reeves of Palisade, many friends, and his cats,
Princess and Kia.
