June Carr, 94, Grand Junction, died Nov. 5, 2014, at Mesa Manor.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Yampa Cemetery in Yampa.
Survivors include one son, James of Grand Junction, two grandchildren,
three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

June passed away at Mesa Manor in Grand Junction, Colorado on November 5th, 2014. She was 94 years old. June was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 10, 1920 to Sumner and Gertrude Barnes. She attended high school in Las Vegas, Nevada. She later moved to Craig, Colorado where she met her husband Jim Carr, who preceded her in hearth in 1999. They were married on November 28th, 1940 and set up home in Browns Park. She and her husband moved to Routt County the summer of 1950 ranching in several places until retiring in Phippsburg, Colorado in 1986. She moved to Grand Junction to be close to family in the fall of 2007. June is preceded in death by her husband Jim, a brother and both of her parents. June is survived by her son James Carr of Grand Junction; granddaughter Dana (Jamie) Current of Fruita; grandson Burt (Kim) Carr of Aurora; three great granddaughters, Jessica (Eric) Ahlberg of Fruita, Nikki Carr of Thornton, and Jasmine Carr of Aurora; and a great-great grandson Colton Ahlberg of Fruita. June loved the Lord and had a deep faith. She was a great friend to so many and the smell of her cinnamon rolls will stay with us all. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Yampa Cemetery.
