ALVA GUTZLER DIED IN CALIFORNIA.
Death claimed Alva GUTZLER, former Sheephorn man, Aug. 12 in Hemet, Calif., following a prolonged illness from cancer of the lungs.
Mr. GUTZLER was the son of one of the earlier day prominent Eagle county families, and grew to young manhood at Sheephorn in northeastern Eagle county.
His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. C. L. GUTZLER. He is survived by two brothers, Clarence, of Hemet, and Jesse of Portland, Oregon. A sister, Mrs. G. Ward ROSS, preceded him in death.
Cremation was in Hemet Aug. 14, and the ashes will be returned sometime in the near future to Sheephorn for burial.

ALVA GUTZLER DIES IN CALIF. TUESDAY.
Word was received in Kremmling Wednesday morning that Alva GUTZLER had passed away Tuesday at San Bernardino, Calif. where he had been visiting in the homes of his nieces.
Mr. GUTZLER grew up in the Sheephorn community south of Kremmling and graduated from Kremmling High School. After selling the ranch his parents had established on the Sheephorn to the Stanley HORACEKs several years ago he worked in the mines and mills at Ely, Nevada. He made frequent return trips to Kremmling for visits.
He is survived by two brothers, Clarence of Hemet, Calif., Jesse of Oregon City, Ore., two nieces, Rae McMAINS and Jean McMAINS of San Bernardino, Calif.; five nephews, Van, Tommy, Wallace and Charles GUTZLER, and Russell ROSS, now on submarine duty in Japan; two grand nieces, Peggy and Paula McMAINS, and one grand nephew.
Complete details concerning his death and funeral arrangements had not been learned at the time of going to press.
