Albert James McGlochlin was born in Brownsville, Ill., June 16, 1878, one of eleven children of Abraham and Martha Jane McGlochlin. He died Thursday morning, November 6, 1941, in Kremmling, Colorado.
In childhood he moved with his parents to Missouri, Iowa and the Dakotas, returning to Missouri to finish school. When he was 18 he came to Colorado, working on ranches and in mines in Eagle county for several years. Later he bought a ranch on the Sheephorn Creek.
He was married to Olive Smith, November 5, 1905. They made their home on the Sheephorn until 1915, when they moved to Hot Sulphur Springs. From 1917 to 1921 he worked for the government hunting lion. In the later part of his life he spent most of his time mining in different localities of Colorado.
Left to mourn his passing are two brothers, Mont and Will of Denver; his wife, Olive McGlochlin of Kremmling; a daughter, Florence Wilson of Evergreen; three sons, Roy and Louis of Denver, and Grover of Parshall; two grandsons; four granddaughters and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held in Kremmling at the Commmunity church last Sunday, November 9. Interment followed in the Kremmling cemetery.
