Jose L. Chavez, 68, Delta,
died Dec. 9, 2013, at Delta County
Memorial Hospital.
A rosary will be recited at
6 p.m. today at St. Michael’s
Catholic Church in Delta. Services
will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday
at the church. Interment will
follow at Mesa View Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife,
Tina; five sons, Gustavo Chavez
of Carbondale, Jesus Chavez,
Carlos Chavez, Vincent Lopez
and Larry Lopez Jr., all of
Delta; four daughters, Connie
Rascon of Mesa, Ariz., Karen
Rea and Isabel Beltran, both of
Delta, and Paula Borchini of
Mariposa, Calif.; four brothers,
Fernando and Ramiro, both of
Delta, and Manuel and Santos
both of Sinaloa, Mexico; two sisters,
Rufina Castro of Montrose
and Chayo Chavez of Delta; 27
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren;
two step-grandchildren;
and five step-great-grandchildren.
