Grand Junction Daily Sentinel page 6B Obituary - December 18, 2013

Dana Brewer, age 49, went to be
with his Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ, on December 12, 2013.
He was born in Broken Bow,
Nebraska. At a young age,
he moved to Grand Junction,
Colorado and later graduated
from Fruita Monument High
School. He went on to attend
aircraft school in Denver,
Colorado, and to receive his AMP aircraft certificate. He then went
to work for Continental Airlines in Denver and Georgia.
Dana returned to Grand Junction, and began working for West
Star Aviation for several years; where he met his wife, Becky.
Dana loved the aviation world, he felt free when he was flying. He
proceeded to start his own business, Monument Aircraft Services,
which prospered quickly, on account of both his skill and his
personality.
He then went on to fulfill his dream of building a Piper Colt,
using this plane to acquire a pilot’s license. Later, Dana bought a
250 Piper Comanche, with the help of his partner. Dana did this so
that the love of his life, Becky, would fly more often with him. He
always put her first.
Dana moved the business from Grand Junction to a private airport
in Mack, Colorado, in 2011. He enjoyed the quiet surroundings of
Mack. Dana always helped anyone in need, and always put others
before himself. He never complained, he was a genuine, kindhearted
person.
Dana was a loving husband, father, son, grandpa, and friend. He
loved flying, hunting, fishing, camping, four-wheeling, disc golf, a
good laugh, and most importantly, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Brewer; father, Neil Brewer;
mother, Patricia (Thomas) Sells; children, Jesse Brewer, Tara
(Doug) Good, and Donnie (Mia) Tayler; sisters, Carmen (James)
Cody, Sherri Brewer, and Christine Brewer, and brother, Mike
Brewer, as well as several grandchildren, and numerous nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Hall.
We all miss you so much, Dana!
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013,
beginning at 11:00 a.m., at the Fellowship Church, 765 24 Road,
Grand Junction, Colorado. Services are entrusted to Palisade
Funeral Home.
Flowers would be welcomed at the church for the services.
Donations may be made in Dana’s memory to the Food Bank of the
Rockies or the Roice-Hurst Humane Society.
