Garland.

Mr. Smith was a spokesman and broadcaster.
Survivors include his wife, Noelle Goslee; one son, Gregory Wyser-Pratte
of San Francisco; two daughters, Kelly Nueroth of Long Lake, Illinois, and
Vanessa Wyser-Pratte of Sebastopol, California; and one grandchild.

Robert Clay Smith
August 12, 1933 - July 25, 2014
Bob was born August 12, 1933, in Dayton, Ohio to William R. and Mary Curry Smith. He passed away suddenly while enjoying a day with his wife and friends in the mountains above Ft. Garland, July 25, 2014.
Bob’s early years were spent in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky; he attended Miami University (Ohio) and served two years in the U.S. Army.
Bob’s broadcasting career began at WCPO-Cincinnati, continuing at WGN, CBS and WBBM-TV in Chicago. As free-lance spokesman, he was exclusive with Monsanto Corporation and introduced Singer Company’s Specials for Herb Alpert, Elvis Presley, Barbara Streisand and
others. His was the voice for Charlie the Tuna (Star-Kist), Alberto-Culver, Buick and Goodyear Tire. Eddie Bauer and Winter-Silks featured him in print advertising.
Long a lover of Colorado’s mountains (skiing, fly-fishing), Bob
owned acreage above Mancos where he rode his favorite horse, King,and became an enthusiastic participant in the town life.
Bob moved to Grand Junction in 2002 to join the KKCO-News team, anchoring the weekend broadcasts and producing frequent specials. He was always ready to mentor and encourage young talent in the business he so loved. From the inception of the Grand Valley (GV) Magazine in 2008 to May of 2014, he was its tireless supporter. Bob was also a member of the Grand Junction Symphony Board and Trout Unlimited.
Bob is survived by his wife, Noelle Goslee Smith; his daughter, Kelly Neuroth (Bo), Long Lake, IL; step-daughter, Vanessa Wyser-Pratte, Sebastopol, CA; step-son, Greg Wyser-Pratte (Kasia), San Francisco, and grandson, Clayton Henry Wyser-Pratte. Services are pending.
