Dan passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the VA Medical Center.
He was born in Albion, Nebraska to Mildred and Harold Miller. His
family moved to Fruita in 1947. He graduated from Fruita High School
in 1958.
Dan attended Mesa Jr. College, and then joined the Navy. After four
years in the Navy he returned to Grand Junction, where he married
Florence Stewart Tracy. Together, they raised Kathie Tracy McNeill,
and Donald S. Tracy.
They moved to Houston, Texas, where Dan became an apprentice in
drafting and design. As time went by Dan traveled to the North Sea,
Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Nigeria, and Alaska for his work.
Dan is survived by his wife, Florence; children, Kathie Tracy Mc-
Neill, and Donald S. Tracy; five grandchildren, Tyler, Genevieve, and
Kathryn McNeill, and Stewart and Erin Tracy; sister, Elaine (Harley)
Murray, and cousin, Sue Games.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the
Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
