Lisa Gerda Rygwalski, age 89,
long-time resident of the valley,
passed into the arms of our Lord
on July 13, 2014.
She was born September 23,
1924, in Berlin, Germany; where
she met her husband of 54 years,
Frank, a U. S. Army Sgt. She came
to America in 1949, moving to Palisade
in 1966, and later to Grand Junction in 1993. A devoted wife,
mother, and nurses’ aide, she was active in St. Ann’s Catholic Church,
and she was an inspiration to all.
Lisa was preceded in death by her husband in 2005, an infant daughter,
and three grandsons. She is survived by her sons Pete (Lola) of
Worland, WY; Steven (JoAnn) of Spokane, WA; Jeff of Grand Junction;
her daughters Barbara (Jack) Griffin of Grand Junction; and Monika
(Clinton) Hedglin of Sedalia, MO. She also leaves behind nine
grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Palisade Funeral Home, in Palisade, CO,
today, Wednesday, July 16, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.; immediately followed
by a Rosary. Funeral Services will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic
Church, in Palisade, on Thursday, July 17, beginning at 10:00 a.m.;
followed by entombment at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens’ mausoleum.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Palisade Funeral Home.

Mantey Heights.
Services are pending.
Survivors include three sons, Peter of Wyoming, Steve of Washington
and Jeff of Colorado; two daughters, Barbara Griffin of Colorado
and Monika Hedglin of Missouri; eight grandchildren; and
11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
