Marguerite Day, 59, of Eagle-Vail since 1989, passed away in Eagle-Vail on March 30. She was born on Feb. 21, 1956, to Everett and Charlotte DuPen in Seattle.

Marguerite graduated from Bishop Blanchet High School in Seattle. A talented ballerina, she studied with the Seattle Joffrey Ballet and the San Francisco Ballet. Marguerite was the owner of Stiicky Green and the Frazzled Framer of Edwards. She was extremely artistic and lived life to the fullest. She was a great friend and an even better mother, and we all know she will be kicking butt in the afterlife! Her energetic spirit and love for others will live on forever through us and will be missed every moment.

Marguerite was survived by her daughter, Destia, and husband Temple Taylor, of Denver; son Logan Day, of Jupiter, Florida; her brothers and sisters Novelle DuPen Meyerhoff, Dr. Stuart DuPen, Ninia Dupen, William E. DuPen and Destia DuPen Hermes; and the father of her children, Thomas Day.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Minturn Little Beach Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the family in care of the funeral home.
