Bessie Mae LUBY.
Memorial services were conducted at the Methodist Church in Eagle, Colorado, March 4, 1966, for Mrs. Bessie Mae LUBY who passed away suddenly at the family home in Eagle on March 1, 1966. The services were conducted by Reverend L. B. FRIEND of Eagle and Reverend Henry BAKER, a friend for many years of Fort Collins, Colorado. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Moynihan-O'Malia Mortuary of Leadville, Colorado. Interment was in Fort Logan national Cemetery at Denver, Colorado. Pall bearers were Robert F. BURFORD of Edwards, Charles R. CASEY of Leadville, C. J. DeGRAW and D. E. JOHNSON, both of Eagle, Dr. Roderick J. McDONALD of Denver, and Herman A. STEIN of Eagle.
Mrs. LUBY, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Henry BEAM, was born in Boston, Arkansas, on January 10, 1904. Moving to Eagle, Colorado, in May, 1911, she graduated from the Eagle High School in 1923 and attended Colorado A & M College in Fort Collins.
United in marriage with William H. LUBY on August 6, 1927, she is survived by her husband and two sons, William J. LUBY of Steamboat Springs, Colorado and John H. LUBY of Sugar City, Colorado; her mother, Mrs. Virginia ALVORD of Eagle; her brother, Cecil BEAM of Portland, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Florence ROBERTSON of Eagle and Mrs. Ann DIXON of Broadmoor, Colorado; and five grandchildren, Billy, Mike, Mary K., Betty Ann and Patty Sue.
Of a quiet and unassuming nature, Mrs. LUBY was a hardworking, devoted wife and mother, and took a keen interest in the problems, lives and well-being of her family and of numerous friends in her own and many other communities. Her entire interests were always in the welfare of others, with never a thought of self. She leaves not only her family but countless friends who mourn her loss and who will cherish her memory.
