Iva Faye Brenneman
February 8, 1922 - September 27, 2014
Iva Faye Brenneman went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 27th, 2014, in Flemington, New Jersey.
Faye was born in Rifle, Colorado, the daughter of William Wolfe and Leota Shipley. She was the youngest of nine children and lived in Western Colorado during her growing up years, mainly in Paonia, Grand Junction and Fruita, where she co-owned and operated the Fruita Dry Cleaners with her father-in-law, James C. Brenneman.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James Morris Brenneman; parents, William Wolfe and Leota Shipley; her siblings, Gazaway, Charles, Dale, Edward, Ernest, Marie, George and Virgil; a baby daughter, Carol Ann Brenneman and a son, James Leroy Brenneman.
Faye is survived by her children, Wesley Brenneman (Suzie) of Orlando, Florida; Donald Brenneman (Sue Ann) of San Diego, California; Sheryll Mohar (Tom) of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Marie Saenger (Greg) of Pittstown, New Jersey; her grandchildren, Kelly Hayward (Terry) of Redmond, Oregon; Kimberly Ipock (Allen) of Bend, Oregon; Bernard Brenneman of Jackson, Mississippi; Christy Staveley
(Bryce) of Auckland, New Zealand; Brad Brenneman (Amal) of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan; Laura Brenneman of Brooklyn, New York; Lisa Brenneman of Carlsbad, California; Sara Viegas of Grand Junction, Colorado; Angela Habliston (Brian) of Grand Junction, Colorado; Michael Saenger of Jacksonville, Florida; Evan Saenger (Leslie) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Lauren Saenger of Terre Haute, Indiana, and
Austin Saenger of Pittstown, New Jersey. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The joy of her life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and extended family members.
Faye’s family will be gathering in Fruita, Colorado on November 1st at 11:00 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery for a memorial celebration of her life, followed by lunch at the Hot Tomato Café in Fruita (formerly Fruita Dry Cleaners).
