Bob was born in Greeley, CO, the
son of Wally and Vera Wagner. He
has one sister, Debbie Hackley of
Idaho and one brother, Capt. Todd
Wagner, U.S. Navy, currently stationed
in Rota Spain. Bob and his
family moved to Montrose, CO in
1960. He graduated from Montrose
High School in 1971. He
attended the University of Denver
and graduated with a degree in finance in 1975. He attained his CPA
license in 1983 and was the sole proprietor of the firm, Robert W. Wagner,
CPA, in Grand Junction until his death.
Bob married Carol Jutten in Montrose in 1977, and they were blessed
with two amazing daughters, Megan (Ryan) Farley of Montrose and
Amanda (Nick) Mayle of Grand Junction. Two grandsons, Landon and
Dylan Farley were Bob’s pride and joy. All are survived by him.
Bob is remembered by his loving family and friends as someone always
willing to help. Countless friends and family sought out his wise
counsel and support. He was a true friend to so many.
Bob was the most precious husband, father and grandfather possible.
His family was the most important thing in the world to him and we all
knew how much he loved us. His family asks that you remember his
giant marshmallow heart, kindness, honesty and integrity. He is loved
by so many and so greatly missed.
Services will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on Friday August
1, at 10:00 a.m. Afterword, a brief graveside service will be held at Serenity
Gardens at Grand View Cemetery in West Montrose at 1:30 p.m.
Following, there will be a gathering at the home of his daughter and
son-in-law, Megan and Ryan Farley, at 58794 Mallard Lane, Spring
Creek Mesa in Montrose, CO.
For those wishing to honor and remember Bob’s giving spirit, his family
asks that donations be made in his name to his favorite charitable
organizations, the Local Salvation Army Food Bank to help feed kids;
the House, a Grand Junction facility for homeless teens, or the Mesa
Land Trust.
