Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; and one sister, Norma Cabeen
of Hillsboro, Kansas.

Art went to be with his Lord, November
27, 2014, at Community
Hospital in Grand Junction.
He was born January 5, 1940, to
Harold L. and Grace Mae Pickrell
in Leon, Kansas. His youth was
spent on the family farm in Leon.
He joined the Navy in 1959,
and worked in the Beach Aircraft
Plant in Wichita, Kansas. He moved to Colorado in 1970, and settled
in Grand Junction in 1982 when he and Cheryl married. He was employed
by Western Slope Auto, Grand Junction High School, and various
other places in the area.
Art belonged to an insulator Club, and Grand Junciton Gem and Mineral
Club. He participated in the First United Methodist hiking group,
“The Happy Wanderers”. He loved the great outdoors, God’s Country.
He aslo, since retiring, has helped others by volunteering through
RSVP, etc. He loved visiting with others and helping.
A celebration of life service will be held at Martin Mortuary 11:00
a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014.
Mr. Pickrell is survived by his wife, Cheryl Peach Pickrell of Grand
Junction; sister, Norma Cabeen of Hillsboro, Kansas; brother-in-law,
William Bryant of Collyer, Kansas; brother-in-law, Larry Peach (Sue)
of Wasilla, Alaska; sister-in-law, Patricia Chrylser (Perry) of Scottsdale,
Arizona; nine nieces and one nephew.
