Judith Anne “Judy” Elder passed away peacefully, holding Howard’s
hand, on Saturday, November 29th, in Grand Junction, Colorado at the
age of 75.
She leaves behind a beloved husband of 57 years, Howard; her loving
son, Doug and his wife Jan, of Durango, CO; her two grandsons,
Nick, of Durango, CO, and Darren; sister, June Stephens of Colorado
Springs; brother, Jim Simpson also of Colorado Springs.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Simpson.
Judy was born in Delta, CO on December 4, 1938, to Evelena and Gordan
Crist and enjoyed a good childhood in Delta. During high school
she moved to Uravan and graduated from Nucla High School and later
married her high school sweetheart, Howard.
Judy worked as a bookkeeper for Roy’s Booking and later opened her
own bookkeeping business. She will always be remembered as a loving
wife, mother and grandmother who worried too much, who always enjoyed
a good joke and shared her loving advice with her two grandsons.
She will be sadly missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held on December 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
at the Moose Lodge in Nucla, CO. Lunch will be served.

Judith Anne Elder, 75, Nucla, died Nov. 29, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
