A familiar site walking around
Palisade, trekking poles in hand,
Eva Curry Melendrez passed away
peacefully at home on Sunday,
November 9, 2014.
As an accomplished business
woman of the 1960’s, she helped
lead the way for other women
when she retired after 20-plus
years as Supervisor of the Marine Division of the Los Angeles County
California Tax Assessor’s Office.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Demetrio;
daughter, Patricia, and son, David. She is survived by her sons,
George of Palisade, CO; Phillip of Juneau, AK, and daughter, Sharon
Moore of Bullhead City, AZ. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren;
17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was an active member of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church in Palisade,
Colorado. She was a peaceful, always smiling, easy-going young
lady who will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Palisade,
Colorado, Saturday, November 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m.
Services are entrusted to the Palisade Funeral Home of Palisade, Colorado.
