Corrine Wood, 57, Grand Junction, died Nov. 27, 2014, at her
home.
Services are pending with Palisade Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Jannette Anderson; two sons, Cameron
Jones and Christopher Jones, both of Grand Junction; and two
grandchildren.

Corrine passed away Thanksgiving
morning after a six-month battle
with breast cancer.
She was born to Geraldine and
Harry Wood in Fullerton, California.
She had a brother, Gene, and
a sister, Sandra. She grew up in
California with a love of music,
and won many awards, playing the
trumpet, at Anaheim High School.
She worked for Hughes Aircraft as a supervisor, and later married
Chuck Jones, who also worked at Hughes. They had two sons, Cameron
and Christopher. Corrine and Chuck both changed careers and
became respiratory therapists. In 1994, she and her family moved to
Grand Junction, Colorado, where she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital,
and later, at the V.A. Medical Center. Corrine and Chuck divorced in
2000; Corrine then met her partner, Jannette Anderson.
Corrine enjoyed dancing, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time
with family and friends. She touched many people with her caring nature.
She loved to laugh and made others feel comfortable around her.
Corrine is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings. She is
survived by her partner, Jannette Anderson; her sons, Cameron (Heather)
Jones, and Christopher Jones; her grandchildren, Samuel and Vera
Jones, as well as numerous family and friends.
At Ms. Wood’s request, no formal services will be held, however, a
Memorial Celebration of her life will be held May 20, 2015, at her
home in Grand Junction, Colorado, on the 58th. anniversary of her
birthday. Her home address is 2253 Tanglewood Rd.; everyone is invited
to attend.
Services are entrusted to Palisade Funeral Home of Palisade, Colorado.
