Charles F. Burnham, Jr.
October 23, 1936 - December 23, 2014
Crawford, Colorado resident, Chuck Burnham, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Delta County Memorial Hospital in Delta, Colorado. He was 78 years of age.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Charles F. Burnham, Jr. was born on October 23, 1936, to
Charles F. and Edna M. (Jordan) Burnham in South Bend,
Indiana. He spent his childhood in Mishawaka, Indiana and
graduated from Mishawaka High School.
On October 23, 1957, Chuck married the love of his life, Anita
K. Kirkendall in Escanaba, Michigan. They have been residents of Crawford for the past 25 years moving from Paonia, Colorado.
Chuck was a member of the Equalizers Fast Draw Club. He
enjoyed shooting and playing guitar.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Anita Burnham of
Crawford, Colorado; three sons, Cory Burnham of Denver,
Colorado; Trey (Monica) Burnham of Union Bridge, Maryland,
and Del (Debbie) Burnham of Bennett, Colorado; three
daughters, Lorey (Ira) Kelley of St. Helens, Oregon; Terri
Thase of Crawford, Colorado, and Cheryl Short of Grand
Junction, Colorado; 14 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters,
and three brothers.
