Caroline Price
November 1, 1919 - December 26, 2014
Caroline (Blessent) Price passed away peacefully at her home among family after enjoying her 95th Christmas.
She was born to Martin Blessent and Mary (Riva) Blessent in Sesser, Illinois.
Caroline graduated from Goode Barren Township High School in Sesser.
Upon moving to Chicago she worked as a legal secretary for many years. She then owned and operated Blessent’s Food Store in Chicago, Illinois.
On March 2, 1946, she married John Andrew Price and after
he finished law school they moved to Walden, Colorado.
They had two children, John Martin and Joy Denise. In 1975
they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado and then later to Grand
Junction in the early 90’s.
Caroline’s hobbies included cooking, baking, sewing, and traveling, but most of all she enjoyed gardening her flower beds and an occasional turnip patch.
Her volunteer time was spent with her husband at Poudre Valley Memorial in Fort Collins and St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction.
Caroline touched a great deal of people with her smile, love,
and compassion. She will be greatly missed by her family and
friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Joy (Anson) of Grand Junction; grandson, Austin of Boulder; grandson, Egan and greatgrandchildren, Zander and Brooklyn of Grand Junction.
Preceding her in death was her husband, John A. Price; her
brothers, John and Martin Blessent; her son, John M. Price, and daughter-in-law, Dorothy Price.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
