Lee Morgan, husband, father,
brother, grandfather, and
great-grandfather, went to live
with the Lord December 8, 2014
in Rifle, Colorado.
Lee was born May 20, 1928, to
Troy and Nelda (Toland) Morgan
in Grand Junction, Colorado. He
grew up on Divide Creek and in
Rifle. Lee married Wilma Morehouse
on January 3, 1951. Lee and Wilma had four children, seven
grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Georgia Rae Liggett,
and son, Mark Morgan. Lee is survived by brother, Ted (Cheryl)
Morgan; wife, Wilma Morgan; daughter, Michelle (Dennis) Zwickl;
sons, Mike Morgan and Matt (Jill) Morgan. He is also survived by his
grandchildren, their spouses and great-grandchildren, Jennifer Zwickl
(son, Marc), Brenda (Zwickl) and Tim Johnson (daughters, Eliana and
Gabriella), Jason and Kristina Zwickl (sons, Carter and Taylor), Joshua
Morgan, Jannelle Morgan (daughter, Makayla), Shanna (Morgan)
and Chad Huser (son, Coltin), Brandon and Grace Morgan (children:
Jason, Bodhizapha, Maizy and Zaden).
Lee proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean
War from 1948-1952. Lee and Wilma raised their family in the Rifle-
Glenwood Springs areas where Lee was an active member of the
communities.
Lee was hired in 1952, by State Farm where he successfully sold insurance
throughout the Western Slope for 44 years. Lee received many
annual awards with State Farm that included the President’s Club, the
Bronze Tablet and Silver Scroll; was a member of the Millionaire’s
Club, Legion of Honors and the Ambassador Travel program. This allowed
Lee and Wilma to travel the world having qualified for the trips
as a top-selling agent with State Farm. In addition to his insurance
business, Lee was the General Manager for Ski Sunlight where he ran a
volunteer work force and provided many a Glenwood family with free
family passes. He taught many family members to ski on the slopes of
Sunlight.
In his later years he enjoyed his cattle with his sons. His grandchildren
also enjoyed working the ranch with him. He raised bees with his son,
Mark, and family and friends enjoyed fresh honey.

the Valley, 1901 Grand Suite 206, Glenwood Springs, Colorado 81601,
or to Grand River Hospital Memorial Trust Fund, 501 Airport Road,
Rifle, Colorado 81650.
Cremation has taken place with internment at Rose Hill Cemetery in
Rifle, Colorado. A memorial service will be held at the First United
Methodist Church, 824 Cooper Avenue, Glenwood Springs, Colorado
on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
