Ralph “Keith” Owens, 80, Grand Junction, died Nov. 12, 2014,
at LaVilla Grande.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Callahan-Edfast
Mortuary. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Baptist
Church, followed by burial at 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery
of Western Colorado.
Mr. Owens was an office assistant for a mining company.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; two sons, Mark of St. George,
Utah, and Brian of Bakersfield, California; 10 grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren.

Ralph Keith Owens, 80, passed from this life to his Father in heaven
on November 12, 2014.
Born December 16, 1933 to Russell and Florence Owens in Olathe,
Colorado, Keith was the youngest of four boys. Keith deeply loved his
parents and brothers. He served in the United States Air Force during
the Korean War. Keith has two sons Mark (Stacey) of St. George, Utah
and Brian (Liz) Bakersfield, California.
After his retirement from Union Carbide in 1986, Keith went to work
of Gene Taylor’s Sporting Goods for 16 years.
In April of 1992, he married Linda Arellano. Linda has two sons, Joel
(Gena) and Marty. Keith and Linda enjoyed 22 years together. Keith
loved hearing Linda play hymns on her flute, and in his last day, her
music brought him peace.
Keith spent a life time of service and was actively involved in both
the Redlands Lions Club and JUCO for over forty years. He enjoyed
the outdoors; hunting, fishing and was always looking for an old Jeep
Commando to fix up.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons; ten grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Bart, Kenneth
and Dwight.
A visitation will be Wednesday, November 19, from 5 - 7:00 p.m.
at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary located at 2515 Patterson Road. Funeral
services will be held November 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist
Church, 395 31 5/8 Road followed by interment at the Veteran’s Memorial
Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers can be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church Building
Fund or to Redlands Lion’s Club, P.O. Box 4671, Grand Junction, CO
81502 for the Scholarship Program.
