Donnin Gibson of Grand Junction,
CO passed away at home on
Tuesday, October 11, 2014.
Donnin was born May 6, 1927,
to James Roe and Hazel Gibson
in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. Donnin
spent his childhood in Cameo,
Colorado and later joined the Navy
and was stationed in Pearl Harbor,
Hawaii.
Donnin met Bonnie Masters and they were married April 18, 1948,
in Clifton, Colorado. They enjoyed over 60 wonderful years together
until her death March, 7, 2009. Donnin and Bonnie enjoyed the special
trips shared with wonderful friends Gary and Lori Miller and George
and Elsie Vezakis. They also had many special times camping, fishing,
boating and hunting with family. In his later years, Donnin enjoyed
playing Bingo with Aunt Babe and Aunt Joan. To the waitresses at
Randy’s Southside Diner in Clifton, please hug each other in his remembrance.
Donnin is survived by two sons, Gary (Melanie) Gibson of Rifle, Colorado
and Steve Gibson of Meeker, Colorado; five grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce (Charlie) Ross, Roxie McDonald,
and Vona (Ron) Milusnic, all of Grand Junction, CO, and brother, Bud
(Sharon) Gibson of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Donnin was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Douglas and Norma
Lee and grandson, Michael Gibson.
Services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.
at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hopewest Hospice.

Donnin Lee Gibson, 87, Grand Junction, died Nov. 11, 2014, at
his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Survivors include two sons, Gary of Rifle, and Steve of Meeker;
one brother, Bud of Battle Creek, Michigan; three sisters, Joyce
Ross, Roxie McDonald and Vona Milusnic, all of Grand Junction;
five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
