Virgil Lee Smith, 86, Grand Junction, died Dec. 10, 2014, at his
home.
Private services are planned.
Mr. Smith was a meat cutter for 50 years.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Smith and Steve Dunham;
two daughters, Willo Ferrin and Kelly Bieker; six grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Virgil L. Smith, age 86, passed
away at home in Grand Junction,
Wednesday December 10th.
He was a veteran of the U.S.
Army. He was preceded in death
by his wife of 57 years Marjorie.
Virgil retired from City Market
where he was a meat cutter for
many years. He loved his family,
traveling, and fishing. He had a
great smile and a keen sense of humor.
He will be greatly missed.
Virgil is survived by four children, Steve Dumham (Lupe) of Austin,
TX; Kelly Bieker (Gene) of Clovis, N.M.; Willo Ferrin (Larry)
of G.J. CO; and Michael Smith (Karen) of Rifle, CO. He is also survived
by three siblings, Jeane Steele, Jonnie Mae Smith, and Wayne
Smith. He had six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
At his request no services are planned. His family would like to thank
Hopewest Hospice. Arrangements are under the caring direction of
Legacy Funeral Home.
