Philip Trowbridge Menzer
December 14, 1959 - December 24, 2014
Philip "Phil" Menzer was born December 14, 1959, in Seattle, Washington to Frederick John Menzer, Jr. and Beverly Jane Sanders Menzer. He spent his childhood in Gunnison, Colorado.
Phil served in the US Air Force from 1977 to 1982, where he honorably served as a flight line mechanic at both US and foreign bases. He lived in
Gunnison, Pagosa Springs, and Denver over the years. He later moved to Grand Junction and attended Colorado Mesa
University.
He suffered for the last 32 years of his life from complications
associated with a brain lesion, but still lived an active, unselfish, life of courageous dignity. He enjoyed attending church, playing piano, bicycling, weight lifting, and in his younger days- skiing.
He is survived by his mother, Beverly Menzer Stiles, Divide,
Colorado; two brothers, Frederick John Menzer, III,
Breckenridge, Colorado, and Arthur Heinrich Menzer, Camano Island, Washington, and one sister, Laura Diane Menzer, Greenwood Villiage, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick John Menzer, Jr.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday,
January 20, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 230 North 3rd Street, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501. Interment will follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery, Calvary Section at 2:30 p.m. Friends and family may leave their condolences at
