William Larry Case
November 22, 1941 - January 15, 2015
William Larry Case, age 73, passed away, due to complications from surgery, on January 15, 2015.
He was born November 12, 1941, at home in Leadville, CO, to William A. Case and Alma E. (Carter) Case. He began his schooling in Leadville CO, and attended through the third grade. His family then moved to Grand Junction, CO where he finished out grade school at Appleton, and graduated from Fruita High
School in 1959.
At age 17, he dedicated two years to the Navy, and was
honorably discharged in 1965. He went to Mesa College in
Grand Junction, and received an Associate in Science Degree.
While attending Mesa College, he met Mary Ruth Smith; they
were married on June 18, 1976. Larry worked as a registered
nurse for 16 years, after which he formed his own business as a landscaper.
He is survived by his three sons, Calvin, Stevan, and
Lawrence, their wives, and 11 grandchildren; as well as two
sisters, Ruth Acord, and Karen Smith, and brother-in-law,
Ronald Smith.
The funeral will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints, 511 Oak Ave., Panioa, CO. The
burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery,
2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction CO.
