Elmer Eugene, “Gene”, “Papa”, Fowler, age 58, of Clifton, CO,
passed away suddenly surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, December
27, 2014.
He was born August 22, 1956, in Moab, Utah. He was the son of the
late Elmer Fowler and Gladys (Sandy) Fowler, and the son-in-law of
Junior and Loretta Shupe. He was the first baby born in the new hospital
in Moab.
He was the center stone of his family. A husband, father, brother,
son, papa, and hero. He enjoyed trapping, camping, riding his ATV,
playing his guitar, and teasing his 11 grandchildren (goatsniffers and
chicken puckies). He was the broad shoulder and wise thought for his
five children. He will be remembered for his smile, humor, and infectious
laugh. His family meant the world to him, and he will be greatly
missed.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lorrie; son, Danny
(Chrissy), grandchildren, Mikayla, Alexys, Braydan, and Khloe;
daughter, Sabrina; grandsons, Dylan, Austin, and Colton; daughter,
Mindy; grandchildren, Melesio, and Mina; son, Tim; grandchildren,
Phoenix and Cheyenne; daughter, Amber (Levi), and grandsons, Aidan
and Ethan. Gene has a brother, Jimmy; two sisters, Sharon and Linda;
and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Michael, Tim, and Tom, and
nephews, Justin and Justin.
A Celebration of Life is planned for December 31, 2014, at 11:00 a.m.
at the Palisade Nazarene Church, 3595 Front St., Palisade, CO and will
be officiated by Pastor Don Blanchard.
