Robert Neil “Bob” Selan, 80, Grand Junction, died Jan. 24,
2015, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Services are pending with Palisade Funeral Home.
Survivors include three sons, Dave Selan and Art Richards, both
of Grand Junction, and Mike Richards of Glenwood Springs; two
daughters, Lorrie Ray of Grand Junction and Susan Selan of Denver; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.

December 23, 1934 - January 24, 2015
Born December 23, 1934, to Antone and Mayme Selan in Martin, Tennessee, he returned to his Lord and Savior, January 24, 2015.
Bob grew up in the Fruitvale area, attending Fruitvale Elementary, and graduated from Central High School, in 1952.
Bob worked, in his earlier years, in the uranium mines, on the
Uncompahgre, and then moved into the trucking industry,
working both as a mechanic and truck driver. In 1966, Bob
move to Palisade, and bought a peach orchard; which he worked until 1974. In 1974, Bob moved to Craig, Colorado, and started his own diesel truck repair business, known as Moffat Diesel Service. He owned and operated this business until his retirement, in 2007.
Bob married Carol Cline on May 15, 1953. To this union were
born four children, Cheryl, Lorrie, David, and Susan. The
marriage ended in divorce. On August 2, 1974, Bob married
Sandra “Sandee” Richards, and with this marriage, two sons
were added to the family, Art and Mike.
Robert was a member of the Clifton Christian Church.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Lorrie Ray (Uriah, III) of
Grand Junction; Susan Selan of Lakewood, Colorado; sons,
David (Cheryl) of Grand Junction; Art Richards (Theresa) of
Grand Junction, and Mike Richards, of Glenwood Springs,
Colorado; sister, Remelda Edelen of Rapid City, South Dakota; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Sandee;
his parents, “Tony” and Mayme; daughter, Cheryl, and
grandson, Cameron Ray.
A Viewing will be held from 9 - 10:45 a.m, Friday, January 30,
2015, at the Clifton Christian Church, in Clifton, Colorado.
Funeral Services will follow the viewing, at 11:00 a.m., also at
the Clifton Christian Church.
Services are entrusted to the Palisade Funeral Home of
Palisade, Colorado.
