Deanna Roy, 74, Grand Junction, died March 3, 2015, at Community
Hospital. She will lie in state at Palisade Funeral Home
from Thursday through Saturday. A celebration of life will be
2 p.m. Sunday at the home of Arnold and Mitzy Gurule, 3030 Apple
Ridge Court, Grand Junction.
She is survived by one son, Curtis of Grand Junction; one daughter,
Karen Quarles of Castle Rock; one brother, Forest K. Franklin
of Salida; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Deanna Faye Roy, age 74,
died March 3, 2015.
Born in Emma, Colorado,
Deanna lived and worked in
Grand Junction, Colorado.
Deanna was a United States
Postal Carrier with routes in
Palisade and East Orchard
Mesa. She retired with 30 and
one half years of proud public
service. Deanna also worked
at Palisade National Bank, Ultronics Inc. and Clifton Thriftway.
Deanna is survived by her son, Russell Curtis Roy of Grand
Junction, and her, daughter Karen Ann Quarles (Ward) of Castle
Pines, CO. She is also survived by her brother, Forrest Keith
Franklin of Salida, CO. Deanna has five grandchildren, Justin
Roy, Adrienne Roy, Anastasia Quarles, Nicholas Quarles, and
Alexandra Quarles. She was preceded in death by her son,
William Randy Roy.
A Celebration of Deanna’s Life will take place on Sunday,
March 8, 2015, at 2:00p.m., at the home of Arnold and Mitzy
Gurule, 3030 Apple Ridge Court, Grand Junction, CO. Please
join us to celebrate Deanna.
Deanna requested, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made
in her memory to HopeWest Hospice.
Services are entrusted to Palisade Funeral Home of Palisade,
Colorado.
