Sherrill, 77, Grand Junction, died March 27, 2015, at St. Mary’s Hospital.A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Cal-lahan-Edfast Mortuary Chapel.Mr. Sherrill was a public accountant.He is survived by his wife Sharon; two sons, Daniel and Rob, both of Grand Junction; a sister Martha Hynde of Munhall, Pennsylva-nia; and three grandchildren.

Dave was born December 20, 1937, to Edgar and Amy Sherrill in Brookline, MA, where he lived until the age of 12. His family then moved to Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated high school from Phillips Academy, Andover, MA in 1955. After attending Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh (1955 - 1957), he enlisted in the US Air Force, serving from 1957 to 1961.
While stationed at Lowry Air Base in Denver, Colorado, in
1960, he met his future wife, Sharon. They were married June 8, 1962.
Dave worked for the Dow Chemical Company at Rocky Flats
from 1963 until 1973. He attended Metro State College in Denver (1970 - 1973), where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Shortly after graduation he was employed by the Internal Revenue Service. In 1975, he was transferred to the IRS office in Grand Junction, Colorado, where he remained until 1978. He then went into private practice for the next 32 years, retiring in 2010.
Dave’s passion was knifemaking, which he enjoyed for 35
years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, reading, and riding his Harley motorcycle.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by
his wife, Sharon; sons, Daniel (Carrie), and Robert; sister, Martha of Munhall PA; grandchildren, Devlin, Bryna, and Haley, two nephews, and one niece.
There will be a Memorial Service at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary
on April 18. 2015, at 11:00 a.m.

Military honors and inurnment will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary Chapel.
Mr. Sherrill was a public accountant.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two sons, Daniel and Rob, both of Grand Junction; one sister, Martha Hynde of Munhall, Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren.
