Marie Irene ERLANDSON, 82, of Minturn died Sunday, June 3, at the Vail Valley Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 11, 1901, in Leadville. Her parents were Erik and Marie Fors MATSON. Mrs. ERLANDSON was raised and educated in Leadville, and when she finished school, she worked as a nurse at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver.
She married Ben ERLANDSON on Sept. 2, 1924, in Leadville. After their marriage, the couple lived in Redcliff until 1947, when they moved to Minturn.
Her husband and one son, Ben, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Regina Mae ERLANDSON of Minturn, and Shirley E. MOOERS of Aptos, Calif.; one brother, John MATSON of Sun City, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at the Presbyterian Church in Minturn. The Rev. Hal HOLMAN will officiate. Burial will be in River View Cemetery in Minturn. Farnum-Richardson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
