Mary Basham
July 8, 1925 - April 4, 2015
An angel went to heaven to be with God. That angel was my mother. Mary Basham passed away April 4, 2015, at the age of 89. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother.
She was very active and devoted to her church, St. Joseph Catholic Church, all of her life. She was a member of Altar and Rosary Society and St. Mary’s Circle.
Mary was married to William "Bill" Basham for 49 years until
his passing in 1995. They had four children, William "Billy Joe"
(Sally) Basham; Jerry (Debbie) Basham; Danny (Elaine)
Basham, and Julie (David) Burford. She had nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Basham; son, Billy Joe Basham; sisters, Annie Lanza, Amy Arcieri, Rose Johnston, and Josephine Pavetti; and one brother, Louie Petrafeso. She is survived by one very special sister, Loretta Hagerman, and one brother, Frank Petrafeso, and many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8,
2015, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary A funeral mass will be held
at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Concluding service and interment will follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Contributions can be made in her name to Holy Family
School.

Mary T. Basham, 89, Grand Junction, died April 4, 2015, at
HopeWest Hospice.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church
with burial to follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry and Danny, both of Grand
Junction; one daughter, Julie Burford of Grand Junction; nine
grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
